I have finished two of the three bed ruffles! I just have one more to do and then I start on the above-the-bed ruffles!!! YAY!!! I'm getting it done! Finally - who would have thought?!

*~*So Far So Good*~*

I have finished the parquet floor in our bedroom now I just need to sand it back and re-seal it and the floor is finished. I am so happy I was able to make new parquet pieces (some of the old stuff was rotten)to fill in some of the gaps it may not be perfect but it doesn't need to be - it is a H💗me not a display house!!!

*~*Back To Babysteps Today After...*~*

Well after been sick with bad migraines and having Mr. W in hospital as well as Joshua not been well! Life at "Pink Rose Cottage" is well once again! So that  means it is back to Babysteps and today it is number 9! so here goes!

Morning Routine

• Get up and get dressed to lace-up shoes; fixing your hair and face
• Look at your posted reminders in the kitchen and bathroom
• Read your FlyLady emails
• Recognize the negative voices and change them.
• Put out your Hot Spots for two minutes

Before-Bed Routine

• Keep your sink shining
• Lay out your clothes for tomorrow
• Put out your Hot Spot. It will make you happy in the morning!  
• Today we are going to learn how to declutter our homes a few minutes at a time with some fun tools that you might have been wondering about from the reminders you have been reading in our e-mails. Making it fun will get the job done! Read the  Decluttering FLYing Lesson!
  Today, add a five-minute room rescue to your Morning Routine. After you have done a Five-Minute Room Rescue, send an email to:
   FlyLady@flylady.net with MY ROOM IS RESCUED in the subject line.   
  
  
  I will also get back to working on my Control Journal. Flying did help when I was sick we didn't have to buy take-out because my meals had already been prepared!

• Putting out Hot Spots - I dealt with a big fire today!
•  Laying out my clothes the night before

Now I get to make routines out of them!

Well it is day 5 of Babysteps and all is going well. 😊Dinner is finished on time and I have gotten a lot done - I still have a lot to do. 🏡However I am so happy with what I have done so far. Life is good - I am  living the dream people - I 'm living the dream.

Baby - Steps 4. 
So far we are: Getting Dressed to lace-up shoes Keeping our sink shining  today I need to read FlyLady message's on her website. 

Today has been so interesting reading FlyLady's website, I have learned so much, my home is looking better and feeling better this really works. I am so grateful to FlyLady! 
I also bought a new zip up folder and some things to go in side so I can build my new Control Journal. 
I can't wait to get it started - picture will follow!
This is so much fun- I am loving it!
I have also found a wonderful FlyLady forum called - SHEForums and I am loving been apart of it!! Life is good - living the dream! SHE stands for **Sidetracked Home Executive** - it is so me!

Day 3

Today I spent time looking at the FlyLady sites; it is amazing the things she has there to help people like me get their homes to a beautiful and calm state and get rid of the CHAOS!!
I am loving this journey!

After battling to keep up with my home and all the things that life has been throwing at me, I have decided to go back to the beginning with Flying through my day, so here goes:
Day 1 - shinning my sink is all done and looking good; it was so special to wake up, walk into our kitchen and see a shiny sink in front of me. It was wonderful not to see a sink full of crap!
I am looking forward to starting my days off with a clean and shining sink! Do you use FlyLadies ideas and methods? If so I would love to know how they work for you.

*~*Scrubbing The Floor Jilly Style*~*

I scrubbed the kitchen floor Jilly style  with bicarb soda and vinegar,  and I must say the floor has come up a treat!
Now to sand back the old sealer and prepare the floor for a new coat of sealer!! I am looking forward to the end result!

*~*The First Fire For This Winter*~*

It's my favorite time of the year - "Winter"! I love being able to light the fire and enjoy its cosy comforts, especially the first fire of the year - like last night's! Somehow this time of the year bring me so much joy; the leaves have turned golden, the nights are getting longer with more time to snuggle, it is time for homemade soup and stews... and the list could go on - I just love it! 
I also love baking in the winter - our home smells like love. I think there is something special about the smell of homemade goodies like bread, biscuits (cookies), soup, apple crumble and apple pies! 
Life is just more wonderful in Winter... now I just need it to snow ☃️- however I don't think that will happen here... Perth is just too darn hot!

*~*Another One Getting Done*~*

Well, today I am working on the next three chairs that I am doing for our kitchen; life has been so busy and I haven't gotten back to them till now!
Joshua fractured a bone in his foot (5th metatarsal) at Barbagallo raceway watching the V8's, and then developed a dreadful rash, so needless to say my life has been very busy. That coupled with the sad fact that my precious Mama was admitted to hospital the same day with fluid in her lungs, Mr A and I have not stopped. However, as busy as it has been here at "Pink Rose Cottage", it has also been good! Life has a habit of going on and keeping us busy. I am currently reading "The Simple Home" by Rhonda Hetzel. It is a wonderful book and I am really enjoying it!

Mama is out of hospital and doing well even though she is very tired. We have had wonderful news: my Sister is coming over in a week to spend sometime with us all, so that is wonderful, and I am looking forward to seeing her and spending time catching up!
Well, I am off to put a loaf of bread on and finish one of the chairs. Dinner is cooked; I just need to dish it and then it will be ready to be enjoyed by my family! 
As I am typing this out I can hear the mulcher going; Mr. A is mulching up some garden rubbish and turning it into garden treasure. We are hoping to put in a veggie garden in a couple of weeks so we can be a little more self-sufficient!

*~*What Is On My Needles*~*

I just wanted to share my latest project with you all; my knitting! It is coming along well, as you can see  I am knitting a pair of socks for my precious Hubby and I am really enjoying the experience it's been fun! Mr. W is partly colour blind so colour means a lot to him, therefore, I had to make sure he could see the colors in the wool I was knitting! I think I nailed it - yes?

*~*New Kitchen Tiles*~*

We bought new tiles for the kitchen today and decided to go with some colour as everything else in there is either white or pine! What do you think? 
I am so happy with them, Antony is partly colour blind so it is so important to have splashes of colour that he can see and I am thanking God we found these and all up they only cost us $30.00!!

*~*A New Family Table*~*

Hi there I am back again to share with you the new kitchen table that I bought!
Firstly the table I finished in December did not end up staying in our kitchen, I have two wonderful Autistic men that I love more than words would let me tell you; however they are both  6'4" and 6'5" and one of them is not slim in fact we are both working hard at losing weight together which is a ton of fun - perhaps!

Anyhoo, back to the table; with the chairs around it we really couldn't walk around the kitchen freely we kept knocking the chairs around, so we went off to IKEA and bought a smaller table, which I really like. I decided to paint the legs my favorite color Pink and the cross bars White and I vanished the table top as my precious Mr. A loved the pine wood, so here it is as you have seen the chairs match and I am so happy with it all it came together so well - I think! 😊

*~*Old Chairs Made New*~*

Well, Hi there! I have been very busy panting and sanding and painting and stenciling our new chairs and having fun doing it! I saw them on the side of the road at a cleanup the shire council does twice a year, and I thought I might as well have a go at reinventing them. I must say I am happy with how they are turning out! My precious Mr. A has helped by fitting new seats to them as I removed the old ones; a big thank you to him for all he does in helping me make our little house a home.
I have bought material to sew some seat covers but that is for another day!
Here are some before and after photos, I hope you like them let me know - I love your comments!!! 💞💞💞💞(Mr A. here. I haven't completed the seats yet. Every time I try to work on another one, something else intervenes. The last 'interruption' was deploying insect 'bombs' throughout the house to kill unwanted insects, not that I can think of any insects you would actually want in a house!) I love You!!!

I have been so busy at "Pink Rose Cottage. My Mama and Daddy gave us a table the we had all sat around as a family because they updated theirs. So I decided to reinvent it and I am so happy with how it turned out. I love having furniture that has family history in my home - it makes me feel that my home is warm and cosy.
I love that I am able to have it in my kitchen (if only for awhile) where I spend a lot of time baking, cooking, folding washing and all the other things I do for my family on a daily basic.
Life here is good praise God.

*~*A Broken Freezer*~*

 





Life has been humming along at our little “Pink Rose Cottage”. We found out the other day that our freezer died along with most of the food that was in it! Boy was the bin heavy with all the dead food in it!! I am praising God for insurance because it covers the cost of the food, which is a good thing since the freezer was almost full!

Consequently, we have dismantled the island bench that hid the freezer so we can have a table and chairs in our kitchen. That way family and friends can sit and chat as I prepare food for my precious family (and friends, if they are staying).

I was amazed at the dust and gunk that we couldn’t see under the freezer; I am almost happy it died. I always vacuumed and swept under it as far as I could, but I could not get at the ‘multitude of sins’ the island bench was hiding out of reach!

I am so excited to show you the entire kitchen as I get it done.

Hello, everyone. I have been missing from here for a while - life has been so busy with medical appointments, NDIS for my men folk and a wonderful holiday in NSW and Canberra, but I am hoping to make more posts starting from today.
My posts will be about everyday adventures, what I learn in my time with God and what I am musing about at "Pink Rose Cottage".
So, more later as I need to take some photos to show what I have been up to here, and what I am doing in our garden, with before and after photos. It will all happen tomorrow - so stay tuned.
